Day 1: We ran a complimentary massage booth for everyone to come by and take a load off while talking a bit of business.  The first ever Pitchfest was  a large success and had all the buzz.  We were fortunate to have an opportunity to present, and although we didn’t win the competition, couldn’t have asked for better publicity through any other medium. Day 1 was concluded by the .CO mixer where we all enjoyed exotic dances and libations.

Day 2: Keynote talk by Tony Hsieh (CEO of Zappos.com) was a very inspirational talk that gave perspective to the work atmosphere and necessity of having a strong foundation of office culture as one of the cornerstones to a healthy and successful business.  The night was capped off with a private event at the Getty where attendees were granted a private viewing of the galleries fantastic work.

Day 3: Pitchfest session 2 and conference wind down.  Our massage booth appears to have been a hit especially in the end as attendees have been sitting and talking throughout the event – getting a bit of relaxation therapy seems to have been just the spot. Tonights evening will conclude with a bash at the Playboy Mansion – which is sure to be entertaining in itself, topped off by 3 days of networking coming to end and an early weekend will have the ingredients for an eventful evening.

Overall the Domainfest event has been ran very well and our experience has been nothing but positive both personally for business.  We look forward to coming back next year to meet up with all our new contacts and old friends!

How can direct navigation be used as a marketing tool:

Direct navigation marketing uses the traffic from the generic domains and re-directs them to content pages or products (your website) so that you can benefit from highly targeted searches.
Example:
If an Internet user is using direct navigation search and type in www.laptops.com they find themselves on a parked page that has no content, only advertisements. What we do is take these potential clients and direct them to you, the advertiser’s website, given that your content and brand are relevant.
